Ube, also known as purple yam, is a tuber native to Southeast Asia, easily recognisable by its natural purple colour and subtle, sweet flavour. Used for generations in Filipino cuisine, it is now enjoyed worldwide in lattes, desserts, ice cream and creative baked goods. Our organic ube powder is gently dehydrated and finely ground to preserve its nutritional qualities.

Its mild, slightly vanilla-like flavour enhances a wide variety of recipes, including cakes, muffins, pancakes, ice cream, purple lattes, smoothies, porridge, yoghurt and traditional treats such as ube halaya.

Generally, 1 to 2 teaspoons are enough to add colour and flavour to your recipe.

Prepare an Ube Latte in just 3 steps:

1. Add 3 to 5 g of ube powder (approximately 1 teaspoon) to a cup.
2. Pour in 150 ml of hot water (between 80 and 100°C) while stirring.
3. Top up with your choice of milk, frothed or unfrothed.

For an iced version, simply add ice cubes.
